This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share your information when you visit our website at www.ao1heals.com, complete a quiz, upload a voice recording, subscribe to emails, purchase a product, or otherwise engage with AO1 services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, as well as certain information automatically collected through website usage.

Information You Provide

  • Name, nickname, or preferred name

  • Email address

  • Pronouns, if shared

  • Emotional responses submitted through quizzes or forms

  • Assessment answers, if you take the AO1 assessment

  • Written reflections or messages

  • Notes you save in the AO1 app

  • Voice recordings, if you choose to upload them

  • Customer support communications

  • Conversations you have with a companion or with Ask AO1

  • Phone number, if you enroll in AO1’s text service

  • Your confirmation that you are 18 or older

  • A record of the Terms version you accepted and when

  • Your request to join the Founding Beta waitlist, if you make one

You may choose how much you share. Only required fields must be completed.

We do not sell your personal information.

Voice Recordings

If you choose to upload a voice recording:

  • It may be stored securely through third-party hosting providers

  • It may be processed to generate personalized audio support

  • It will not be sold or publicly distributed

You may request deletion of your uploaded recordings at any time by contacting us at info@ao1heals.com.

Website Assessment

If you take the assessment on our website, Typeform collects your answers and email address. We store them in Airtable and send your match and email address to Flodesk through Zapier. Flodesk then emails you your results, which include your matched companion and guide and Voice Kits that fit your answers. You can ask us to delete this information at any time at info@ao1heals.com.

Third-Party Service Providers

To operate AO1, we use trusted third-party service providers, which may include:

  • Squarespace (website hosting)

  • Flodesk (email marketing and communication)

  • Google Workspace (email communication and document storage)

  • Typeform (quizzes and intake forms)

  • Airtable (secure data organization)

  • ElevenLabs (voice generation and audio processing)

  • Uploadcare or similar file-hosting providers (voice uploads, if enabled)

  • Zapier (secure automation and data transfer)

  • Google Drive or other cloud storage providers

  • Payment processors

  • Twilio (SMS and text messaging)

  • Supabase (AO1 app database and sign-in)

  • Netlify (AO1 app hosting)

  • Resend (sign-in, invitation, and safety emails)

  • Anthropic (AI safety checks)

These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to maintain appropriate privacy and security safeguards.

We may use additional trusted service providers as necessary to operate and improve AO1.

Data Security

We use encryption, secure platforms, and restricted access systems to protect your information.

No method of online transmission or storage is 100% secure. However, we take reasonable and industry-standard steps to safeguard your data.

SMS Communications and Privacy

If you opt in to AO1's text service, we collect your mobile number, messages you send, consent and opt-out records, and delivery information. We use this information to provide AI-assisted conversations, respond to your requests, manage messaging preferences, and operate the service.

Twilio processes messaging and delivery information, and ElevenLabs processes conversations to provide AI-assisted responses. These providers receive information needed to deliver the service on our behalf.

Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers solely as needed to operate the text service.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide Services

  • Maintain records

You can delete your AO1 app account in the app at any time, or at www.ao1heals.com/delete-account. For information collected through our website, email, or text service, contact info@ao1heals.com. Our deletion page explains what is removed and what we may keep.

Age Requirement

AO1's services, including companions, voice kits, and voice notes, are intended for adults 18 and older only. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

International Data Transfers

If you access AO1 from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above.

Continued use of AO1 Services indicates acceptance of any revisions.

The AO1 App

This section adds detail for the AO1 app and its companions, MIA, KAI, SERA, and SAGE, which are currently available through our invitation-only Founding Beta.

What we store. We store your sign-in email, your first name, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, the version and date of the Terms you accepted, your companion and guide assignment, your assessment answers if you take the assessment in the app, your answer to the safety question if it appears, and any notes you save. If you ask to join the waitlist, we also store your waitlist request. We keep this in our own database, hosted by Supabase in the United States.

Conversations. When you talk or type with your companion, ElevenLabs processes what you say and provides the conversation. We do not keep call audio. ElevenLabs is set to keep the text of the conversation for 14 days and then delete it.

Safety checks. We use an AI service from Anthropic to check conversations for signs of a safety concern. These checks are automated and may not catch every situation. When a conversation is flagged, we keep a record with a severity level and a short written explanation from the AI service, which can include a few words from the conversation. We keep these records until you delete your account. We also keep a count of safety flags that is not linked to any person.

Notes. Your notes stay until you delete them, and you can download your notes any time.

Waitlist. We keep your waitlist request until you are invited or you delete your account.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account in the app, or at www.ao1heals.com/delete-account. Deleting it removes the information listed on that page.

Hosting and email. Netlify hosts the app. Resend sends sign-in, invitation, and safety emails.
